Fossil fuels are a very resourceful use of energy that has been incorporated in the lives of most if not, all. There are many different kinds of these fuels that are transformed into energy to make life a bit easier. As stated in Pros and Cons of Fossil Fuels, “fossil fuels are used throughout the world to power everything from cars to lights in the home” (Pros and Cons of Fossil Fuels). This article emphasizes the different types of fossil fuels there are such as oil, coal, and natural gas and lists both the benefits and detriments that come along with it. The concerns that rise is in reference to whether or not it is right to use them, the safety of it, and if we should be cutting down on how much we use. For example, the natural gas used when cooking is obtained by extracting it from the Earth’s crust and combining it with other gasses such as methane, nitrogen and carbon dioxide. According to Pros and Cons of Fossil Fuels, “Fossil fuels are actually created by the decomposition of dead plant and animal life that existed on the Earth hundreds of millions of years ago, which means that there is actually a finite of each of these different fossil fuels (Pros and Cons of Fossil Fuels). In other words, once it's all gone, which will happen one day, there would have to be alternative ways of using things such as a gas stove or heating buildings as well as fueling transportation vehicles. This leads to the benefits and drawbacks of this type of energy. Natural gas is easier to find, transport, and set up while also generating thousands of jobs (Pros and Cons of Fossil Fuels).
