There have been 12,932 gun related deaths this year according to the gun violence archive. Guns laws need to be changed because it is extremely easy to get firearms. America also need gun control because there have been many mass shootings. These mass shootings lead to fear and then everyone will be too scared to leave their house, or go to public places. It is also important because all of the victims of these mass shootings have been completely innocent civilians. Gun control is the most important issue because it is extremely easy to get a firearm and because of this, there have been tons of gun related deaths. All of these loopholes need to be closed so firearms do not get into the hands of criminals. American politician Michael Steele once said “You can have all the gun control laws in the country, but if you don't enforce them, people are going to find a way to protect themselves. American need to recognize that bad people are doing bad things with these weapons. It's not the law-abiding citizens, it's not the person who uses it as a hobby.” This evidence shows that the government definitely needs to enforce our gun laws and background checks. I know this is talking about background checks because it claims “bad people are doing bad things with these weapons”. That’s why Gun control can be fixed by changing the gun laws and fixing background checks. My topic is also important because there are 12,939 deaths this year and those numbers need be significantly decreased.
