The nature of the current debate surrounding the implementation of universal healthcare in America is troubling because it is comprised almost entirely of pragmatic arguments void of concern for the principles behind the project. Before one asks how much a thing will cost, how it will be organized, or whether “the uninsured” will benefit, one should ask whether enacting universal healthcare is in keeping with the values and principles of the American experiment. In other words, is universal healthcare good for America? Universal healthcare is not good for America.
There has always been a way for children to be cared for in the United States. In the early 1800s orphan asylums were the most popular way for homeless children to be taken care of. Then institutional care came around, where children were taught to grow up as quickly as possible. Placing-out was then created in the 1850s to use instead of the institutions. This form of foster care sent children to the western states to live in rural homes.

Also, “Obamacare” made it impossible for insurers’ to discriminate, or charge higher rates, for anyone who has pre-existing conditions or for a certain gender. Medicare will also be easier to obtain due to requirement of insurance. This law was passed in the U.S. on March 23, 2010 by Congress and President Barack Obama.
Conservatives need to stop and take a look around. It seems as if Republicans have been so dead set on repealing the Affordable Care Act, that they do not even know why they are doing it. House and Senate leaders are constantly talking about reform- but where is the replacement plan? There are a lot of people that are able to afford healthcare because of Obamacare. As a nation, we cannot allow ourselves to take a step backwards.

A heavily debated topic in politics in America is on the distribution of Healthcare and health insurance. The main concern is the costs that come along with healthcare and who exactly it is or should be accessible to. Currently in the United States, our nation’s healthcare is under a plan called the Affordable Care Act, implemented by Barack Obama to which many nickname “Obamacare”. The ACA’s original goal was to cater to people of all classes and make it affordable, hence the name, but that plan has not proven to be very effective. However in recent times there has been a debate among presidential candidates of what action to take regarding healthcare including ideas such as a “single payer” system, or a universal healthcare plan as well as a flat tax.
No matter what your wallet may say, healthcare should be a BASIC human right for everyone. No life should be deemed less important or valuable just because they can't afford health care. People have ALWAYS been employed and work long hours every day and still can't afford to pay hospital bills. With Obamacare not only do welloff, or ordinary to poor citizens have available health insurance for the first time in years, but they can actually afford to fill prescriptions without having to worry. Americans need to get over this idea that we shouldn't pay for our services.

Which is leading to poor economy and increasing of debts and deaths within the country.
Health care is the maintenance and improvement of physical and mental health, especially through the provision of medical services. Don 't you believe that this is a right and dignity of all people should be able to have. Your body should be taken care of no matter the gender,race,health,or social economic back ground it is a right. Health care deserves to be able to be taken care of. I believe that universal health care for everyone is very important it will benefit people from the richest to the poorest.
Mental health issues are on the rise, especially among the youth, 6 out of 10 young people do not receive mental health treatment for major depression. Currently over 40 million Americans are currently dealing with a mental health issue and 56 percent are not receiving proper treatment. (Mental Health America). The health care reform has reduced insurance premiums for adults who have a mental health condition, however premiums and copayments are still not affordable for everyone. With the rise of mental health issues, the funding for mental illness should also increase to meet the need.
Healthcare is something everyone needs and should be able to get, but right now that is not happening. In America there are millions of people who don’t have healthcare insurance. This is because some can’t afford the insurance plan. There are also millions more who have health insurance, but can’t afford using it. This means that they are paying for an insurance plan, but the deductibles are so high they can’t afford to go to the doctor.

From the perspective of positive psychology or holism, mental health may include an individual 's ability to enjoy life, and create a balance between life activities and efforts to achieve psychological resilience. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), mental health includes "subjective well-being, perceived self-efficacy, autonomy, competence, inter-generational dependence, and self-actualization of one 's intellectual and emotional potential, among others”
