What would happen if schools became LGBTQ+ inclusive? equality and education. If schools had a GSA for example, it could teach everyone about issues regarding being (the umbrella term) gay. Many LGBTQ+ people are unaware that there are still ways to practice safe sex. Also many straight people are unaware of the challenges LGBTQ+ people everyday, especially with mental health due to unacceptance and pure fear. Going along with mental health, many gay people develop anxiety and body dysphoric disorder which is a HUGE issue because it affects everyday life for them in that they tend to become withdrawn, have panic/anxiety attacks often, which are very dangerous to health because it is very likely for people experiencing them to faint. …show more content…

In these cases, children are typically denied from shelters that help them and/or accept them, so they turn to the streets. Because LGBTQ+ is such a difficult thing to really understand and is different, there is typically Violence against them. There are many ways that LGBTQ+ people are harrassed, by strangers in public, friends and family, or even bullied by peers. An example of violence by strangers is the orlando shooting, which left 49 LGBTQ+ people dead.
