High controversy exists on the capture and containment of all organisms in the world today. However, due to extremely popular public attractions Orcas have stayed under heavy debate on the right and wrong of zooing situations. People alike on the side against the containment of orcas have created a rigged documentary Blackfish, assessing the harm corporations, primarily Seaworld, cause in containing orcas. Because of the heat, I will be assessing the evidence the movie gives as well as Seaworld's rebuttal, then gauge its strength. This essay is also not limited to the response of Sea World in a orca Related situation. One apparent theme in Seaworld's orca population is aggression. It’s a common occurrence for unrelated orcas to be held in captivity. This leads to many cases of orcas raking each other with teeth to the point of bloodshed. The author of Blackfish’s claim of Sea World being harmful to orcas is supported due to the apparent harm of the animals but no regard for it. I would state this claim as strong evidence due to no rebuttal from Sea World and the large scale of cases in orca captivity. …show more content…

In addition Seaworld has claimed in rebuttal that i doesn’t separate calves but then goes on to label it as a rare occurrence. Overall it appears as good evidence as the mothers upsetness was documented and Sea World has a rebuttal to contest but it was poorly displayed and double
