Texting and Driving Texting and driving is dangerous and should have severe consequences. According to edgarsnyder.com if someone texts while driving it is 6x more likely that people will cause an accident than driving drunk (“2022 Texting and Driving Accident Statistics - Distracted Driving”). Texting while driving affects the person who is doing it and the people around them. Texting and driving is dangerous and needs to have severe consequences because it could kill people and cause permanent damage. First of all, texting and driving could kill anyone.
