Electoral College Argumentative Essay The Electoral College is the greatest method for electing our President of the United States. It will ensure that the interest of every state is represented, and it will avoid any situations where a few populous states would dominate the entire outcome of the election taking place. Despite all the criticisms and calls for reform, the Electoral College remains the best system for electing the President. First off, the great Electoral College will ensure that candidates must campaign in a variety of all different states and in a variety of different ways, instead of focusing only on a few large states or bigger population centers. …show more content…

It will also help to prevent any fraud that could possibly occur. Because each and every individual state has its own different system and way of managing votes and collecting results, it creates a very reliable form of checks and balances. This makes it very difficult to cheat or to try and manipulate the vote count in any possible way. Also, more often than not the winner of each individual state’s Electoral College votes is usually clear, this really helps to make it way less likely of having any disagreements or disputes over the end outcome of the election. Without the Electoral College there would be so much more fraud and manipulating within the election. “Now consider a world without the Electoral College. Suddenly, the situation is reversed. Any vote stolen in any part of the country can change the outcome of an election.” (The Daily Signal). It is nearly impossible for any one specific group or party to attempt to control the end results of the election. The Heritage Foundation says it best “Our Electoral College system has provided us with orderly elections and a stable government for more than 200 years” (The Electoral College: A Safeguard For Stable Elections). This quote is fantastic, it uses the word “orderly” to show the consistency of the system every four years. This also means over the years there has been a major risk reduction of any type of contested or disputed election outcome. Gratefully, every four years this helps the Untied States to prevent any weird political polarization. Generally speaking, the Electoral College also does a fantastic job of ensuring that our home remains completely united behind our chosen leader for the next four years, even if not everybody agrees with the outcome of our country’s elected
