The Holocaust The Holocaust was an event that took place in Nazi Germany and German occupied Europe. It was a mass genocide that was first brought up by Nazi Germany politician and leader Adolf Hitler. The Jewish families weren’t the only religion targeted. Other ethnicities targeted include Poles, Ukrainians, Soviet POWs and Belarusians. The aftermath of the Holocaust was brutal on both sides. For the important members of the political, military, and economic leadership of Nazi Germany who participated in the Holocaust, there were the Nuremberg Trials. The crimes that they were found guilty for were for participation in a common plan or conspiracy for the accomplishment of a crime against peace; planning, initiating and waging wars of aggression and other crimes against peace; war crimes; and crimes against humanity. What most Jewish folks were mad about were that the Allies of North America (USA, Canada) knew about all of the killings in the concentration camps, yet did nothing about it. In the film Schindler’s List, a man by the name of Oskar Schindler, a business man, goes to the city Krakow in Nazi Germany Poland to find business in hope of making his fortune. An ethnic German, bribes Nazi officers and SS officials to buy a factory in order to produce enameled kitchenware. To help him run his business, Schindler hires Itzhak Stern, a local Jewish man who can contact people in the black market and the Jewish business community. Schindler is able to stay friends with the Nazi officers
