Should Child Soldiers be given an Amnesty? The adults are the guides that support the child’s innocence and wellbeing. Instead, they brutalize and corrupt them for their own selfish needs, like as spies, slaves and child soldiers in many terrorist groups. This is seen today in the majority of the 250,000 child soldiers across the globe who are under the age of 18.- (Child Soldiers.) However, others believe they should be guilty of their war crimes. Which in fact majority of them were forced into? Not only that, they have undeveloped minds, and are ruthlessly abusing their rights. A better option is rehabilitation. Thus, it is virtuous to give these child soldiers amnesty, since majorities were never willing to be in the war. Numerous child soldiers have said to be forced into the atrocities they do. Some are kidnapped from homes, and some are obliged for surviving. A Former child soldier, Ishmael Beah, has said, “they had pressed me to the war and had forcefully trained me” …“You do what the commanders tell you to do, if not, they will kill you.” Therefore, the child soldiers had no other option. They were trashed with weapons and corruption, so that is why we need to restrict them from any symbols of violence. We should likewise, aid them with proper education, health, and shelter, and gives their rights back. “An educated, protected child is unlikely to become a child soldier”- (Child Soldiers).
