Argumentative Essay: Should College Students Be Paid?

Johnny wants money to support his growing drug addiction. Currently, he is running low on funds because he was doing a drug exchange, and the client stabbed him in the stomach causing him to go to the hospital and accrue bills. In order to pay his hospital bills and be able to continue his heroin addiction, he lied to the financial aid system and said that he was living alone, unemployed, with no one to help him, when he was really living at home in his grandparent's’ basement. Johnny dropped out of college shortly after receiving his financial aid reimbursement check. College should not be free because the financial aid system that is in place is not fair, people wouldn't take it as seriously, and they would not suffer any consequences.
First of all, the financial aid system that is in place is not fair. For example, the students that receive financial aid have really low incomes, and the low to mid level incomes receive little to none. For instance, right now college students must try there best to keep their financial aid benefits. If they fail to keep their grades up then they will lose their financial aid. Because the financial aid process is selective, students must work diligently in order to earn their financial aid. As a result, free tuition would cause students to not take college seriously. This would result in wasted time and money .According to Andrew P.
