Although it wasn’t much of a fad only a few decades ago, going to college plays a big part in our society today. It strongly affects how we get jobs and how we are looked at by other citizens. And without a doubt, finding the perfect formula for college is one of the most debated parts of our education system today. Parents, students, and teachers all have countless different opinions on how it should be done. It all depends on the situation, but personally I have come to the conclusion through interviewing real people who have experienced the process of college that you should enter college out of highschool, after applying far ahead for both many colleges and many grants, then work part time through college. Even if you don’t think you’ll get it, or it barely applies to you, you still should. There’s always a chance you’ll be able to save those thousands of dollars. Look into as many as you can, some will give you money based on things like your grades or weather your the first person in your family to attend college. My original plan was to take a break before college and work to build up a surplus of money, but a few interviewees quickly debunked that and told me I would get distracted and lose track of school, and that it’s a waste of time. And that I would be working and getting payed less than I would if I was working with a college degree. Which makes perfect sense now that I think back on it. Instead they said to work part time during college, because full time is too much workload. You will develop far better time-management skills, in edition to independence with money management and making some of your own money. There’s no one way to do college, rather countless strategies based on your situation that can only influence the final product. A lot is based on luck and not purely going to college and how you do it.
