War on Terror The war on terror has caused more harm than it has good, and has cost Americans too much money and human life.The war on terror started after the attacks on 9/11. George W. Bush, stated after the attacks that “Our war on terror begins with al-Qaida, but it does not end there. It will not end until every terrorist group of global reach has been found, stopped and defeated.” The war on terror has had many downfalls since it began, the first being increased government spending. According to Kimberly Amadeo, “The war on terror adds $2 trillion to the national debt as of the 2018 National budget.” I believe we are overspending and too many people are losing their lives. It is crazy to think so many people have lost their lives because terrorist have decide to harm others due to their beliefs. The war on terror has created more enemies than it has friends.
