This book is about a girl who starts school in a southern, rural town. Along the journey of the book, she meets some crazy people including a boy from her school, and learns more superstitions about the Radley Family. In this journal I will be predicting and evaluating.

For example, when Bob Ewell accuses Atticus Finch of being an african-american lover, because he is defending Tom Robinson. Tom Robinson was accused of raping Mayella Ewell, according to Bob. A person 's perspective can easily be altered by the smallest things, whether it’s a simple gesture or something more. A person 's perspective changes either for the good or the bad, and that all depends on your actions. Whether or not what you do is necessarily bad or good it may still have a great impact. Children are more affected by this because they see the world and society as something great and beautiful and once they are exposed to the darkness that lies in part of our society they start to see the world as an awful place when truly, it’s not. Harper Lee’s “To Kill a Mockingbird” is set sometime in the 1930s in Maycomb County Alabama. The story is told through the point of view of Scout Finch who lives with her father, Atticus, and brother, Jem. The kids like to play pretend with their friend Dill about the man who lives in a scary house down the road, Boo Radley. The kids come in a few close counters along the way during these games in which Atticus does not approve. Scouts’ father, a lawyer, is appointed by Judge Taylor to defend Mr. Tom Robinson, a black man accused of raping a young girl.
