Education has always been a top priority when it comes to the best ways to care for a child. Parents are always out there looking for the best types of schooling that would ensure their child’s future. The different types of schooling is divided into two sections which includes year-round schooling and the traditional three month summer school year. Although there are people who believe that schools with year-round calendars have higher suicide deaths as a result of the added stress, the year-round calendar should be enforced because the overall funding and cost for the trimester schools is less than the traditional school year as well as the school curriculum being able to creatively incorporate seasonal learning. For instance, with the year-round calendar, students may advance academically whenever they are ready. That is, the student body would be receiving more options with class schedules and attendance. Students with learning disadvantages would be able to receive academic benefits as well, involving the additional time given. In addition, the loss of retention of information that occurs during the traditional three month break is minimized by the shorter more frequent vacations in the year-round calendar. For those students without intellectual stimulation, enrichment, or reinforcement during the summer, summertime can be intellectually detrimental. With the traditional three month summer, students experience information losses that are not present with the year-round school year students. Therefore, the year-round calendar should be enforced because the loss of retention of the information that occurs with the traditional break is minimized with the year-round calendar and the fact that students would be able to advance academically whenever they would
