JK Rowling once said, “We are all human, aren’t we? Every human’s life is worth the same, and worth saving.” Abortion is the purposeful killing of a fetus during a pregnancy. Most women have this done before the first twenty-eight weeks of pregnancy. There are many different types of abortion that will take place at different parts of the pregnancy. Many of the types are surgical and the other mian type is a drug (RU-486) that is taken to stop the pregnancy. The average price of an abortion in the United States can be anywhere from $300 to $2,000. While Medical Daily has proven that 15% of people say that abortion is morally acceptable, 49% of people believed that it is morally unacceptable and wrong. Also, there are doctors that won’t perform abortions based off of what they think is acceptable and what isn’t. Debra Stulberg stated, “While ob-gyns reported having encountered women seeking an abortion, only 14% said they were willing to perform the service.” To continue, people who can’t afford an abortion have the opportunity to use taxpayers money. People don’t think that it is moral for their money to be spent on abortions rather that it being used somewhere else for things throughout their community. Just think that is taxpayers are paying for 250,000 abortions a year (Conover), people are paying taxes to go towards something that isn’t beneficial to their community, and they aren’t benefiting off of it. On the other hand, there are people that think abortion should be legal because they think that it should be up to the mother to decide if she wants to keep the baby or not. People also want to say that there should be certain cases that abortion should be legal, and it’s the only option.
