In recent years as Information Technology continues to boom, background checks has been the norm in employment processes; employers are also able to monitor the working performance and many other aspects of workplace activities of their employees'. While there’re many claims by numerous institutions to be a gainful process (in other word increase productivity), there’re conflicting social ethics in association as most employees may not welcome such monitoring. The first and foremost reason is that employers run background checks in other to protect their institutions from liability. One way to proof the effectiveness of background check is for instance if an employer recruits an individual in anticipation to fill in job opening, what is the possibility for knowing the right person is chosen and is qualified for the position looking to fill in?
