375 million men and women are infected with sexually transmitted disease each year (WHO). We live in a world full of rape, human sex trafficking, sexual assault, and ignorant individuals who choose not to engage in safe and protected sex. These diseases can range from minor inconveniences to life threatening situations. What many people do not realize is that help is offered virtually everywhere. One place where people can seek advice and counseling is at Planned Parenthood facilities. Many associate Planned Parenthood with abortion clinics, but in fact, they offer a wide range of services to women, men, and young adults as well. “Congress Should End Federal Funding to Planned Parenthood and Redirect It Toward Other Health Care Options” is an article written by Sarah Torre in which she explains why it is best to “end taxpayer funding of the nation’s largest abortion provider” (Torre). Jacobs refutes this claim and states that the collection of fetal tissue is a meticulous task and one must have the consent of the mother. The tissue is then used for research. Many see this as an unethical mean of handling fetal tissue, but Planned Parenthood has made it clear that the complete voluntary donation of fetal tissue has led to “lifesaving scientific breakthroughs that have saved millions of people’s lives” (Planned Parenthood). The video has proved nothing and in fact, fetal tissue research has been
