Mansa Musa was the Emperor of Mali in the fourteenth century, he was known for being the richest ruler. He was born around 1230 and died around 1337. Mansa Musa is mostly known for his journey to the Muslim holy city in Mecca where he was introduced him to rulers in the Middle East and in Europe. Musa came to the throne of West Africa’s Mali Empire through a practice of appointing a deputy when a king goes on his pilgrimage to Mecca or journeys somewhere else and later naming the deputy as heir. According to historians, Musa was appointed the deputy of Abubakari II.

The Rise of Daniel Hale Williams Daniel Hale Williams III was an extraordinary African American surgeon. Dr. Williams, the son of a barber, was a free African American born during the 1800s to Daniel Hale Williams II and Sarah Williams. Dr. Williams’ family was heavily impacted by the ongoing history at the time. Furthermore, Dr. Williams’ ancestors were slaves. Daniel’s ancestors on both sides were a mixture of European, Native American, and African American.
Kametrea Williams was born February 1st , 1999 in Longview,Texas. Kametrea lived in various parts of East Texas until the death of her father in 2012. After her father's death Kametrea and her younger sister (Keeunsha) moved to Dallas, Texas to live with their Uncle (Undray Moore) and Aunt (Yolanda Moore). There were many groups living in the United States between 1860 and 1900 and most of the groups we can categorize people into had very different viewpoints. The main groups that most can be categorized into are the wealthy, the common people, the Indians and the Chinese. Starting with the wealthy they looked at the west as a big fat paycheck, the wealth folks went out west and bought up lots of land and production and monopolized, while the common people competed with these big companies for free and cheap land because they were the poor back east and came out west with hopes of finding gold while mining or getting rich off abundant crop land or maybe it was some common women who came out west because they were allowed to purchase land out west. This past Sunday, June 18th, America lost muslim teen, Nabra Hassanen to what most call road rage, and others, a hate crime. Hassanen, accompanied by a group of friends were headed back to a local mosque after a trip to a fast-food restaurant. It was then that they encountered driver Darwin Martinez Torres and an argument erupted. The altercation escalated, resulting in the capturing and death of 17 year old Hassanen. Torres had beaten her with a baseball bat, abducted her, and dumped her body into a lake.

We do not realize that other people in our community or in our world there are many children that are getting abused or hurt by their families. Joshua Kohn, writing in the 1964 American Jewish Historical Quarterly found that, traces a Sephardic family who made a difference. In 1839, Dr. Daniel Levy Maduro Peixotto, of New York City became co-editor of the Trenton Emporium and True American. He became editor of the newspaper and practiced medicine until his return to New York in 1853. In that same year, 1853, David Naar, a brother-in –law of Dr. Peixotto, bought the newspaper, Daily True American (formerly The Daily Emporium and True American).
