Aristotle was a ancient greek philosopher from the years 384-322 B.C.E. and studied under Pluto. Aristotle was known as “The Philosopher” by many wrote 200 treaties. He started his own school after classifying the knowledge into subjects, some of which we see today. Aristotle died by an infection in his digestive organs at the age of 62. Aristotle set the groundwork for philosophy and his data are still be interpreted to this day. Aristotle has a special view compared to that of the world. He finds value in finding the middle ground on many issues. He does not find it just to have to high of a certain action or feeling, but you don’t want a lack of the action. Aristotle takes a side but it is the middle. He believes highly in finding the median stand on all issues. For example, when it comes to being in fear Aristotle looks at it differently. He says you should not have no spirit when it comes to it, but you also should not get angry easily. One needs to find the middle ground and as he puts it in this case, a good temper. A real life example can be given with shame. Let's say that I flunked one of Mrs. Averbecks APUSH tests (although this never happens). I should not be shy of it, but at the same time I should not be proud of it. According to Aristotle I should have modesty behind it. I find it that when people ask I tell them how I do but I do not tell people what I got without them asking. It should be noted that each group of people have different morals to follow. That is saying that, for example, the United States will have a different way of interpreting modesty compared to the people of Russia. Aristotle also notes the difference between humans and animals. Humans can make carefully planned decisions compared to rash decisions by animals. A example can be when high school students are sitting in a classroom. They start to become hungry but they know lunch is right
