"Advances are made by answering questions. Discoveries are made by questioning answers." - Bernhard Haisch With rapid advancements in Technology, computers have become inevitable part of our lives. As the world is moving towards the notion of systems performing specialized tasks the scope for distributed computing seems infinite. Working in this domain for 4+ years, I realized that whereas I am gaining knowledge in breath the depth is missing, which is the primary reason for pursuing a Master’s program. This would enable me to realize my professional ambition of being a proficient contributor to this domain. I aspire to answer those numerous unsolved questions and question those numerous answers in this area and a graduate program at Arizona State University would help me attain this objective. I am eager to contribute to the ongoing research at Information Assurance center, predominantly on projects in Cloud Computing, Network Virtualization and Security lead by Dr. Dijiang Huang. How an operating system can perform complex tasks so fast? How does Internet work? These were some of the questions I had …show more content…
The product was vast and helped me get exposure to various other verticals like Virtualization, Security, Cloud Computing. It aimed at creating and managing firewalls policies, rules and configurations for Virtual Machines that remained persistent even if the VM’s were moved across different data stores or even on the cloud. Being a part of the project I implemented various ingenious features namely “Multi-Tenancy”, “Setting up secure tunnels between Enterprise VM infrastructure and cloud provider”, “Support for Migrations of VM’s between enterprise to cloud and vice versa”. My area of work was not just limited to a single technology or product but a diverse combination of Networking, Security and the Cloud-managed services
