The darkest part of Armenian history filled with tears, blood, and deaths. The terrifying events of 1915 are printed in our heart and soul. An undeniable fact, thousands of peoples' deaths, a history that has been erased and changed. Even after a century it is beyond our power to forget and to forgive. Every single Armenian must learn the importance of and reasons for remembering the Genocide of the Armenians. Moreover, what are the attitudes of other countries and why some countries, notably Turkey, deny the Armenian Genocide. These countries recognized because they know the truth, they believe in Armenia. For most Americans, this seems like it happened one million years ago on another planet. But for Armenians, it was yesterday, where we live now. It is more important for them to placate the Turkish government than to be truthful about the past, the history. As for Armenians, this is not only an unsolved issue about our stolen Diaspora, we must do more than just fight for our territory. We should come together to work towards this fundamental goal of educating the world about who Armenians are and gaining worldwide recognition of our history: that is the real reason our ancestors
