Army Leadership Philosophy Essay

Everybody has different philosophy and style to lead others but for me leadership is developing strong professional relationships and creating personal trust with soldiers so they feel confident in their tasks and assignments. From my personal observations and experiences I can say once we believe that some-one is skilled in his/her field and cares for others we do well and tend to perform better. Army is just like a family lead by a senior and each soldier is very important to this family unit, refining of individual’s skills, helping her for personal development and growth is my responsibility as team leader. I do my monthly and event counseling through on spot correction and most of the time leads from front to set example and motivate them.
As a NCO it is highly important to maintain positive communication with my seniors and juniors so that I can succeed in my mission. Army is a large organization and development of soldiers is key responsibility. Development process needs clear and concise purpose, as a leader it is my duty to provide them with purpose, direction, trust, believe in themselves and in mission, sense of team work and motivation. To create leadership skills I believe we need to do certain things such as leading by example, development of team members, building optimistic work environment for learning, exercising the mission command on day to day work, adaptive presentation and to build positive relationships among team members. As leader I realize team work is crucial for success of mission and to build a strong team that everyone wants to be part
