Art plays a critical in the history of many different cultures. Despite the importance of history and heritage many communities do not dedicate sufficient attention to preserving and documenting stories from our elders. Most groups do not acknowledge their heritage until they feel threatened by new interest that they believe may be intruding on their physical or cultural territory.
