The Arts Council of England does a wonderful job of displaying the effect the arts and culture have in their evidence review named The Value of Arts and Culture to People and Society. In this evidence review, the Arts Council of England discusses how economy, health and wellbeing, and education are effected by the arts and culture. While studying the influence of arts and culture on the economy, the Arts Council of England focuses on two main components. The council focused on the national economy and the local economy. For example, conclusions from studies taken from young people that participated in the arts include “taking part in drama and library activities improves attainment in literacy.” They also listen other improvements such as the “students who engage in the arts at school are twice as likely to volunteer than students who do not engage in arts and are 20 percent more likely to vote as young adults” and “employability of students who study arts subjects is higher and they are more likely to stay in employment.” Education is the source of everything we as people accomplish in life.
