Comparing and contrasting Cinderella stories There are many Cinderella stories. But not all of them are as happy or innocent as the Disney version. Sometimes toes get cut off, eyes get pecked out, and feet get burned with hot coals. Usually there is a happy ending but only for the one who deserves it. Each of the stories have similarities even though they aren’t the same story. One example of this Is in both “Yeh-Shen” and “Aschenputtel” the girls both wear golden shoes. Also in each story except “Interview” the Cinderella got married. In all but stories but “Interview” it comes from the Cinderella’s point of view and it tells about her more than the sisters and mother. Another similarity would be in “Aschenputtel” and in “The Algonquin Cinderella”
