The use of money has always been at the head of my fascination to the world around me; I remember as a child I used to carefully manage all of the money going into and out of my shoebox by writing any 'transactions' or loans to family members on the lid. Fortunately for me, these interests of mine are related to Accounting and to Economics. Being around my uncle's convenience store and working in my local ASDA store has helped me to understand some of the aspects of business finances. I have enjoyed learning how my uncle makes his money by bulk buying produce to sell on at higher prices to make a profit. Also at ASDA I have learnt about how loss leader pricing draws customers into their store to buy other products to stimulate sales. This experience has encouraged me to pursue aspirations to find a job in the financial world. Working at ASDA has helped me grow a lot as a person as I have learnt a lot of skills whilst working there; I now feel more comfortable talking to the public and I have been able to exercise my eagerness to help people. I also play football on a weekly basis with my colleagues against other local ASDA stores and with my friends to keep fit. In my spare time I like to practise playing the drums; I currently have a grade 3 in drums and I enjoy being able to teach myself how to play songs I listen to on a daily basis. After 2 years of playing drums, it has taught me that the best way to advance in a particular field is to enjoy what you are doing and to practice hard. I have always had a big passion for music ever since I was young and it has helped me develop a unique perspective on the world around me. I believe that my talent for maths and the fascination of finance will help me proceed towards achieving a degree in accounting and finding a job in the finance
