Something that support my answer is "Some feel like they can't live without it and may feel anxious if they can't." ( Burrnett & Davis 2 ) This shows that people act like they need there phones. This can interfere with there real life experience. As well it states "this feeling can be problematic if it creates anxiety or start to interfere with school work and conversation."This speaks for how people are addicted to phones, they feel like they cannot be separated. Also teenagers can engage in self-regulation and learn to be more aware of there social media use. Which help the teenagers develops. There is lots of benefits but there lost of downsides to social media. Which makes it hard to decide if social media is a good platform for others.But some sources give false claims that really lie to the people and make them think that social media is for the good. In the article it states "They may start to judge their self worth by how many snapchat followers they have” (Burrnett and Davis) This indicates that they think they are determined by followers. They don't know there self worth but care about what others think. Additionally it states " Some teenagers may face cyberbullying or develop Facebook depression.” (Burrnett and Davis 5) Not to mention that the cyberbullying can lead to the teenages self-harm or even worse. Some teenage can handle it but other can't which makes them do terrible
