One highlight from our group discussion involves the scene where Ashoke Ganguli is reading over Gogol’s short stories on the train prior to the accident, then the gentlemen Ghosh asks him if he’s traveled the world, and he responds by saying that his grandfather says “that’s what books are for.” An important theme in our class are the sixteen habits of mind by Costa and Callik.
