As Seen On Screen Holdings plc (ASOS) are a UK based virtual retail fashion company which already reach global markets, selling over 65,000 products, from over 800 world renowned brands, their own label and up and coming designers. Following a successful launch in 2000, ASOS’s website now attracts 29.5 million unique visitors per month. This excludes tablet and mobile user visitors. A well tailored mix of fashion products from clothing to skin care and beauty are sold through the website, www.asos.com to their target audience of fashion loving twenty something’s, and solely online. ASOS draw their customers in to action by a number of ways, one being a ‘saved items’. (See appendix 2) This is where the consumer saves their products for up to 60 days and can go back to them to purchase at any time during those 60 days. Another way is the everlasting 70% off, with new products being added to lines every day and constant discounts including student discounts. 2.3 DRIP Model ASOS is a revolutionary business, and according to an article written in Retail week, Hughes (2012) states that ASOS has over 5 million active users worldwide and is the second most visited fashion website in the world. ASOS differentiate from conventional websites such as Boohoo.com and Next, by their use of innovative technology; using a 360° user image so the consumer can have full view of the item. Another attribute of ASOS is their free delivery and return service all year round. To reinforce the consumer of the brand, ASOS constantly update their website and are continually releasing new ideas such as the premier service which offers Free Next Day Deliver all year
