Ahmet wanted total control of the Ottoman Empire and the only things in his way to gaining that control was his brother being alive and his dad’s decision of who get’s the rightful ownership of the land. Towards the end of the story, Ahmet is murdered by Selim who tells him that, “father made his choice”. Alexius IV is portrayed as Ahmet in the story. Alexius IV caused destruction when he was the ruler of the Ottoman Empire. He did not continue the same beliefs as the previous ruler did. The people did not like it. Because of this, he did not continue his promises to the western allies that he had. During his rule, the people of Ottoman rose against him and got him imprisoned and executed because of the way he ruled. Both Ahmet and Alexius IV tried to gain ruling over the Ottoman ever in their ways. Both their ways included power and own personal gain. Nothing was for the people and both caused destruction. While Ahmet wanted to use the power of the Apple to help gain him the power, Alexius abused his power and when he did, it did not work for him. It was obvious that extensive work was put into the detail in the design and the story of Assassin’s Creed Revelations. A major example would be the Hagia Sophia.
