Abstract
Re-Housing the homeless is almost as difficult to interpret as it is impossible to describe, when explaining the many different clients (mental health, substance abuse, sex offenders, aging out foster care, medically frail, undocumented, older adults and parolees). The philosophy during this research will include the supplement to the collaborative approach and questions to Assessment and Re-Housing the homeless. What is an Assessment and Orientation? What are the services provided? How are the homeless specific needs fulfilled? In the depth and accurately Assessment and Re-Housing, will help individuals obtain support and information needed to make the transition back to living independently.

Already, veterans returning from Iraq and Afghanistan are appearing among the homeless population. Volunteers of America is committed to ending homelessness for those on the street and preventing others from becoming homeless by providing a wide array of well-designed and managed services to meet the specific needs of homeless veterans. Services include (Service Centers, Housing, Employment and Training Housing) The program is an assessment shelter for families. The program is designed to assess the needs of our clients in a timely and efficient manner. We work to divert clients from entering the shelter system for long periods of time, and we direct them toward community living whenever possible. When clients enter the shelter, case managers focus on identifying any past or current support systems including family and community resources. We also assess clients to determine benefit eligibility and service needs, including substance abuse and mental health
