Athena is the god of wisdom, good counsel, war, defense of towns, weaving, pottery, and other crafts. She is referred to as the virgin goddesses which means she didn’t have any children of her own. Her parents are Metis, her mom and Zeus, her dad and they all live in Mount Olympus. It’s said that she was born from Zeus’s head with full armor and arrayed in arms. Athena is known for a few things such as the olive tree, the owl, and the horse. Her symbols are also aegis and gorgoneion. She is also known by her Greek name, Athena and her Roman name, Minerva.
