The island cuisine means plenty of seafood and tropical flavors, and to get that started, the "Shack Ceviche" is perfect.

The café is the main dining area it has mediocre food and somewhat of a selection. The Sub Connection serves decent subs along with a side of chips, soup or a fruit. The Sub Connection is decent, but it’s doesn’t even compare to Subway. They only give you a six inch sub with your meal plan swipe. If you want a foot-long sandwich you have to pay for the second half.
They offer fresh white meat chicken tenders, crinkle cut fries, coleslaw, tangy delicious Cane’s sauce and garlic buttered Texas toast. The menu is limited. A current canes employee stated, “A reason for that success says Dover, who started his job last July after stepping down as Chief Executive of Metromedia Restaurant group, is that the company focuses on what it does best and makes sure it does it well,”(Thorn). Since they have such a small menu they can provide fresh food, quickly.
They have a wide variety of appetizers and main courses. My favorite appetizer has to be their black pepper chicken wings. It is a mouth watering combination of sweet and salty and has the perfect amount of spiciness for a variety of different palettes. For the main courses, I especially love the ribs with a side of sauted green beans. When you look at the dish, you immediately want to devour the smoldering red, tender ribs, as well as the juicy seasoned beans.

When looking for a stand-out restaurant in Athens, Georgia, the first that many say comes to mind is the world renowned Cali N Tito’s. I have heard others rave about this place countless times, which left me wondering, what could possibly make this place so special? It was not until I experienced Cali N Tito’s for myself that I finally understood what made it so appealing. Other reviews have relentlessly persuaded and coaxed me to try a meal there. My own hands-on, unique, experience really confirmed the hype.
In my experience, I went to Kayak Kafé twice and both times I was recommended by the waitress a meal off of the “Signature meals” menu. The first time I went I ordered the Roasted Lime Chicken Tacos. They were incredible, I have never had such a satisfying experience while eating tacos. The tacos were tightly wrapped and filled with gooey melted jack cheese, and perfectly roasted bites of chicken. The tacos were also served with a tossed and organic salad which was of notable quality.
Fig (26): Cooking scene in tomb of Senedjemib Inti at Giza. The right half of the register was divided horizontally into two Sub-registers. On the left of the lower one a cook facing left roasted a spitted bird over a low brazier, the coals of which were kept aglow by the action of the wicker fan in his right hand. To the right was a group consisting of two more herdsmen sitting face to face on the ground.
