Slavery has been apart of America’s economy for many years. Back then the United States was considered the Union. The South had an agricultural economy. The North had industrial economy. Northerners were against slavery.
Due to the Atlantic Slave trade, exporting slaves increased across Southern Africa and Europe. The victims in slavery continued subjection to hard labor, abuse and profit exchange. The Portuguese were first responsible for exporting Muslims. These slavery practices disintegrated cultures, and relations. The Europeans bear responsibility for exporting slaves from Africa, while the Portuguese bears responsibility for African slave raiders.
The Atlantic Slave Trade is remembered as a dark and cruel point in history, in which African Americans were treated as animals by inhuman and cruel men. During this time period the ideal shared by many white men was that of white supremacy, meaning that people with white skin are naturally better than those with dark skin. They also believed that it was their worldly duty to care for people with black skin. However, the majority of these men did not care for those they viewed as their subordinates. These cruel men viewed the black race as inhuman, however, it was those who had white skin that were the real inhumans, they were beasts.
Following the period of Exploration, explorers discovered new lands rich with resources such as gold, silver, and other precious materials that needed to be mined, and crops that needed to be farmed. However, workers who could perform these tasks were scarce. The Native American population had been killed by disease and war, and the colonists weren’t often willing to do this labor. Fortunately for the European colonists, they had access for a convenient and inexpensive labor market via the means of African Slave Trade.
The Americas were full of tons of ways to make money. Originally the Native Americans were forced to work in mines and plantations, but eventually the use of Native Americans was outlawed. Because of this the african slave trade increased. They were treated horribly and without dignity. The absence of humanitarian concerns influenced the african slave trade in three main ways: treatment, punishment, and transportation.

We can say that the slavery in the New World was absolutely dehumanizing, and it’s extremely cruel. It has caused billions of Africans lose their lives and has had a very serious impact on the development of Africa.
Atlantic Slave Trade There was always slavery before the one we grew up learning about. If you owed money, you were a debt slave until you paid off your debt. As well as being born a slave, a slave could have been a prisoner of war,(POWs). Slavery began in the Americas because the Europeans needed laborers because their Encomienda System with the Natives failed. Bartholomew de las Casa suggested using West Africans as laborers because they were immune to european diseases.
The enslaved Africans were viewed as property, meaning they could be sold and shipped off across the sea for work and labor. The Transatlantic slave trade expanded despite the consequences for the enslaved africans because of economic success, transportation of new goods to new places, and
imparticularly in the Atlantic slave trade in the 1500s-1700s (“Chronology” 483). Slavery was not only a problem in the ancient times, but also continued to worsen over time. Slavery began to become more of a problem as time ran on. While many protection acts were implemented, they were ignored and the problem continued to rapidly expand. In 1833 Britain formed laws banning slavery, while France joined in on the act to protect its victims (“Chronology” 483).
The Trans-Atlantic slave trade impacted and changed the world by misplacing and separating thousands of individuals from their families and homes. Thousands of people lost their lives when they were abducted and forced into slavery. Many did not survive the ship rides to the Americas. Many were murdered and tortured. Some were thrown of boats and died from diseases caught on the ship.
The greatest slave trade stage was enslaved people transportation from West and central Africa to the New World- America. The trans-Atlantic slave trade was the largest forced movement and prior from the 16th through the 19th centuries. The paths that the slaves were sent on allowed them to take their traditions to that area with them which ultimately had an impact on those around them. This occurred simply because creating plantations allowed landowners to become part of the wealthier class, so it was important to make sure all labor needs were meant to have a successful establishment. In conclusion, slavery can be perceived as the time in history where the first instances of racism occurred, or it can be looked at as what connected the world as one centuries ago (Goucher, 1998, p.3).
