The complexity and controversy of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, effects many children worldwide. Although this disorder is (ADHD) remains a controversial disorder, ADHD affects approximately 5 to 7 percent of children, diagnosed in early onset (Preston, O’Neal, & Talaga, 2017). However, most children grow out of this disorder once neurological maturation is complete.
What may be occurring in this case study with Junior In this case study with Junior a 14-year-old adolescent has been prescribed dextroamphetamine for symptoms presented of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. Although junior has present symptoms that are consistent with this disorder, no official test or formal assessments were performed by his doctor to properly diagnose Junior with ADHD.
