In ¨To Kill A Mockingbird¨ by Harper Lee, the main events that take place is how Boo Radley never comes out of his house, he likes the dark. Another main event was when Atticus defends Tom Robinson in court. The last main event is at the end when Boo hears Atticus's children scream at night while walking home and he comes out and kills Mr.Ewell for what he was doing and what he intended to do. Yes, it does make sense for Atticus to defend Tom because he does not have the Maycomb disease. Before court, Atticus would comfort Tom by reading him a book outside his cell. “A long…….window and down the side….., Atticus was sitting propped against the front door…...sitting in one…..reading….dancing over his head” (Lee, 201) This goes along with the thesis because Atticus is trying to get it though Tom’s head that he doesn’t have to do this alone. This goes with the thesis because this was a main event in court. As Heck was describing Mayella's injuries, Atticus had some questions himself.¨Was it her left facing you or her left looking the same way as you were¨ (Lee, 225). This connects to the thesis because they were in court and Atticus was being a good defendant by asking the right questions with her
