John Miller is the candidate from the Republican Party running for Attorney General in the November 4, 2014 elections. He is an underdog in hands on experience unlike the seasoned veteran Maura Healy, but his knowledge and education make him an equal opposing running mate and a force to be reckoned with. Miller has an impressive education that proves he is more than qualified to lead the state of Massachusetts as the next Attorney General. He has earned degrees in Civil Engineering and Soil Mechanics from MIT, graduated the Boston University School of Law with not only his law degree, but also an advanced degree in Taxation, and later returned to MIT for further his education achieving his doctorate in Infrastructure Systems (Miller). Her ideas and strategies are similar to the former elected Attorney General of Massachusetts Martha Coakley. Unlike her Republican opponent, John B. Miller, she makes her position known relating to hot button topics in today’s world. She fought a long and hard campaign against a fellow Democrat, Warren Tolman for the chance to battle Republican John B. Miller, who faced very little opposition being the only Republican in the primary. Due to her campaigning against her Democrat colleague, she was able to receive more media attention, making her a household name and a shoo-in for Attorney General in Massachusetts. John B. Miller may not have gained the stamina that Maura Healy gained during the primary elections, but his campaigning to take the politics out of the Attorney General’s office has caused a stir among the middle and lower class residents of Massachusetts. For far too long residents of Massachusetts and even citizens of this country have stood back in silence and allowed the political corruption to taint our federal, state and local government. Miller isn't afraid to take these issues head on and speaks as an individual for the people, by the people and of the people. He doesn’t intend to ever use the position if elected to launch his political career like many before him who are inspired to be the next Governor or to one day fill the empty seat in the House of the Senate. Miller has vowed to bring forth justice to the public officials who abuse their positions of power for political gain in order to better focus on upholding the laws established by voters and legislators.Maura Healy may have the experience to lead the office under her belt when it comes to direct work relations with the Massachusetts Attorney General's office, but I think she would be only
