The twentieth century actress, fashion icon, and humanitarian, Audrey Hepburn, is a powerful role model in my life. From her poise and positivity, to her compassion for others, she has left behind a legacy that has changed the world. Most people know and love Hepburn for her Hollywood success, but my favorite characteristics of her are the efforts that she made to positively influence society. If I could be any person for one day I would be Audrey Hepburn because of her compassion for others and dedication to make the world a better place. Audrey Hepburn was a humanitarian even before becoming an actress. When she was a teenager she volunteered during World War II as a nurse and an agent of The Dutch Resistance. Hepburn understood the importance of helping others on a scale bigger than herself. The volunteer spirit that she possessed is what compels me to be Audrey Hepburn for a day. Like her, I try to live with this same mindset, striving to help others in any way that I can in my everyday life. In the prime of Hepburn’s life, she became a world-wide fashion icon. As an ambassador for UNICEF, she used her platform to travel the world and help children living in poverty. She spoke to world leaders, volunteered in poverty-stricken communities, and used her fame to advocate for children who had been silenced by the world. Like Hepburn, I too have a passion to help those who have been silenced. I personally am passionate about the world’s water crisis. I have used my voice and actions to advocate for those who are deprived of clean water. If I were Hepburn, my voice for the water crisis could reach enough people to eliminate the water crisis
