The discover the differences between their family and Aunty Ifeoma’s family. They recognize how unhealthy and rigid that their family dynamic is. They discover the freedom and joy in Aunty Ifeoma’s family . That what make them in love with Aunty Ifeoma and they reject to leave her. The novel shows the healthy family relationship through Aunty Ifeoma’s family. She spread out her love which were accepted by her children of course. She helps Jaja and Kambili change their personalities . She learn them to find out their independence. Her personality reflects on Jaja and Kambili and make a difference in their live.

Purple Hibiscus novel concentrates on the familial level, examine the family relationship between Papa and his wife and children. On the other hand, the family relationship between Aunty Ifeoma and their children. As mentioned that Kambili forced to live in silence and fear by her father’s rigid rules. Which affect negatively on her.
