In Vietnam Book One: Sharpshooter by Chris Lynch, Ivan, a teenager, joins the army to become a sniper. To begin with, Ivan has a friend named Rudi, and he gets drafted for the Vietnam War. Soon, Ivan decides he will volunteer to become a marksman. As expected, he gets put into a group of others that are training to be snipers. He gradually learns that being a sniper can be hard.
The 1960’s and early 1970’s was a period when America was involved in many conflicts overseas, including the Vietnam War. This began a time when media spread quickly as well as influenced the public heavily and wars were first televised. These conflicts ultimately caused citizens to protest and question the motives of the federal government. A large number of these protestors were students who sought to combat problems through various tactics to get authority figures to remedy the problems they identified. Student protestors sought to combat many immediate and long-term problems involving this time period and the Vietnam War.
Tim O’Brien’s The Things They Carried is a collection of essays, all centered on anecdotes of American soldiers during the Vietnam War. The seemingly straightforward recollections slowly reveal dense layers of personal and metaphorical meanings upon closer inspection, with the exploration of the characters’ emotions and the underlying motif of love creating the opportunity to trace how war changes a person in the realm of his emotions. The Vietnam warfare acts as a catalyst for all of the unsettling changes in the soldiers’ minds, raising the question whether the battlefield is actively responsible for this result or merely accelerating the inevitable manifestation of these personal issues, inherent in every person. Ken Burns Filming "The Vietnam War." In recent PBS channel opened new film Documentary called: The Vietnam War. Ken Burns and crews had worked this film in the past ten years, costs thirty million dollars. I haven 't watch this film, but in the past twenty five years I had watched many Vietnam War Documentary.

The popularity and international outlook for rock music resulted in a compelling impact on society as Rock and Roll influenced everyday fashions, attitudes, and behaviors. Drawing on many different styles, this genre of music excited a worldwide generation of young listeners, while, at the same time, distressing musical, cultural, and social authorities. Presently, it is tough to fully understand the bitter criticism the new music generated in its entirety. Rock music gave shape to many different counter-cultural movements which engulfed the world.
There is no definite definition of American music. American music is a mixture of distinct sounds and has numerous different genres. This is because the music reflects America’s diverse multi-cultural and multi-ethnic society. One of the many genres represented in American music, is protest music. Protest music are songs that are “associated with a movement for social change and hence part of the broader category of topical songs or songs connected to current events” (The Concise Oxford Dictionary of Music, 1996).

The song is trying to fight and reveal against the political system which oppress the people. “Imagine all the people living life in peace” We have to analyse the background of it.

Therefore, the legacy of Vietnamese contemporary popular music from 1990 to 2005, which were Olsen’s surveys about, is widely acknowledged by local music critics and Vietnamese citizens as “the heyday of V-pop” contrasted to its less cultural impact today.
The political aspects can also be considered in the future studies along with the element of music to reflect the political information. The future studies are recommended to consider the element of music with strong environmental themes.
