Avatar (2009) directed by James Cameron who has great movies in his list as a director and writer such as Aliens, Titanic and Terminator. Avatar is an adventure, fantasy movie. The storyline is love story but it is strongly spiritual and meaningful even though some people watch this film for purely entertainment purposes may not recognize its spiritual significance. Here is a brief describe what the film is about. The movie is set in 2157. It is centered around Jake Scully, (Sam Worthington) a paraplegic former marine who lost his brother and now he is taking his brother’s place in a secret program. Jake and Grace Augustine who manages the secret program tried to make a bridge of trust with the Na’vi (the native of Pandora) for Unobtanium mining operation. Jake after entering into Pandora as an Avatar, he meets a beautiful Na 'vi, Neytri. Jake is amazed by the beauty and mystery of Pandora and the magnificence of the Tree of Souls. This is a large part of the spirituality of the Na 'vi as it is the Tree of Souls which allows them access to the psychic spirits of their deceased to communicate with their ancestors. As the film continues, Jake becomes a part of the Na 'vi world and the battle scene near the end of the film shows his change of heart when he fights against the Resource Development Administration in order to protect the Na 'vi’s land …show more content…

One of the strongest points in Avatar specially in the fight scenes as all the creatures and characters are active in those scenes, are the cg figures. Developers in Weta Digital created a new skeletal and muscle simulation system to achieve one of the most realistic anatomy simulation as Dan Lemmon VFX supervisor says in of his interviews with 3D World magazine "There are tissue layers, tendon sheets and all the critical parts of how a muscle system works.
