The Aztec people is remembered for many things. But what draws them out the most, the most interesting qualities is the architecture and construction techniques that the Aztecs have. The Aztecs built some of the most beautiful and breathing taking buildings that can be found in South America. The Aztec people had diverse architectural styles. They built everything from homes to palaces and great pyramids. The Aztecs used sculpted stone blocks and skills to decorate the platform and the ends of the balustrades. At the top, there was a sacrificial block where sacrifices take place. Behind this block, the temple/temples would be built. They would have a back room containing the idol of the temple and an antechamber for the priest. The inside walls were ornamented with either sculpture or painted. The roof would be thatched in poorer temples or would be made of wooden support beams used in a style like a corncrib built up so that it got smaller towards the top.
