I am most attracted to Loma Linda University’s mission to make man whole and continue the teaching and healing ministry of Jesus Christ and its commitment to faith and science. As a Seventh-day Adventist christian, the motto to make man whole has never been more personal than it is now. As I grow in my experience as a christian, to further the teaching and healing ministry of Jesus continues to take center stage. This mission and an understanding of the need for whole person care is something I seek to demonstrate and encourage through my profession as a nurse and involvement in my community.
Working in the construction industry has been something that I have enjoyed doing for the last five years. What I enjoyed the most about construction is that every day brings something new. As each construction site is different with its own set of new challenges. I first started working in the field as an apprentice latching on to anybody that would teach me. After a while I had moved up to full time estimator and assisted in project management.
My job as a patient care technician allowed me to care for numerous individuals from a variety of backgrounds. Through this experience, I came to the realization that I loved people. I loved hearing their stories and the secret hopes and fears they would share with me in the dead of the night. I realized that I wanted to have a career where I could not only help people, but learn from them as well. I believe a career in the healthcare field would allow me to do this.
Nothing takes the place of face to face meeting to bring business partners together but it takes a global travel company like Carlson Wagonlit to engage clients through service, visibility, management tools, technology, and safety awareness to surpass the completion and obtain their part of 6% share of the global mid-market increase through to 2020. By the way congratulations on your “tremendous win” at the IMA awards. I have built my career on two principles; add value and integrity. I’m the person who thinks about the emotional connection with people through a great story while driving business development growth and sales strategy, and then I go about building upon that foundation. I understand entrepreneurial spirit as I have the passion to lead the activities resulting in increased awareness for the Carlson Wagonlit Travel brand.
I would like to be apart of ASB because I’m interested in helping Medea be the best school it can be. I always like to learn new things and I will appreciate new experiences learning from seventh and eighth graders. I am responsible and I am excited for my leadership skills to be tested. Also, I will gain more responsibility and learn more leadership skills throughout my time in ASB. As part of ASB, I will be able to work with other students who have similar interests and want to be fellow leaders at Medea.
I’m a Christian 17 year old teenager that wants to be someone big, and shine God’s light in this world. To begin, the summer of 2016 I attend to my very first camp. With that said I have an amazing youth leader who I love so much and supports me in everything she encouraged me to assist to the camp “OVERCOME.” Turns out to be a total blast, I was 15 at the time, it was from my church. The weather, the place everything was wonderful, waking up to worship The Lord, it was when I believed when they say that we live for Lord, because I was giving everything, every second of my day to him.
I developed interest in studying at the University of Detroit Mercy from personal research and conversation I have had with my lecturers. One lecturer specifically recommended the institution after he heard me talk about my passion of pursuing a management major at an institution that will offer me an opportunity to participate in outreach programs, and in the process transforming the community. I have also had enlightening conversation with a colleague who has been at the institution and is impressed by its focus on education. It was interesting to learn that the institution has a high professor to student ratio and most classes have less than 30 students. I am also particularly excited about the university’s Leadership Development Institute
The university offers programs that are meticulously aligned with my career objectives, particularly within the realm of business administration. By enrolling in GSU’s esteemed business program, I aim to lay a robust foundation in fundamental business principles, enhance critical thinking abilities, hone problem-solving skills, and cultivate the leadership acumen necessary for excelling in my future endeavors.
Here at Babson I am in the process of creating a startup company, and my group has gone through most of the stages it takes to start a company. I have gained knowledge from my experiences both in and outside of the classroom and can apply it to the summer program. I also know what it takes to be a leader. I was the treasurer of my chapter for Business Professionals of America as well as the Director of March Madness at my high school for two years- we held many sporting events where the proceeds were donated to charity. Additionally, I am the starting goalie for Babson Field Hockey
Teaching at Palm Beach Atlantic University in a comprehensive christian atmosphere allow ones to integrate christian values and ideas into education giving the chance to share the love of Jesus Christ with students who may need spiritual guidance and leadership. One wonderful aspect of teaching in a Christian school is that God’s word is taught. As students pursue the study of pharmaceutical science in a Christian setting, their aim is not only to have a career in pharmacy science but also to chase after the knowledge of God and Jesus Christ. Therefore, it is expected as an instructor at a christian institute to plant God's word in the hearts and minds of the students. And I strongly believe that An education that uses God’s word as its foundation produces spiritually-mature, wiser and more knowledgeable Pharmacy students.
The 21st century is a generation of medical miracles. Continual advancements in medicine have created a world where few diseases, ailments, or problems are beyond the reach of medical scientists. With a growing body of research to build upon, the understanding of medicines and their impact on disease is a field full of potential and possibilities. I am pursuing a career as a pharmaceutical scientist to help the world become a better place Serving others has always been a priority in my life, but early on I learned that open wounds and emergency-room style injuries did not sit well with my personality.
I once heard a quote that says "The art of communication is the language of leadership. "- I have always been a person that likes to communicate and enjoys learning more about other cultures, and life styles. I always loved to see how things are the way they are and figure out how they got into a certain place. That is why I decided to study Marketing. For me marketing was a way to find out how everything got into a certain place and learn the process in how something was created, communicated, advertised, and promoted.

Georgetown Universities National Center for Cultural Competence describes health as “a relative state in which one is able to function well physically, mentally, socially, and spiritually in order to express the full range of one's unique potentialities within the environment in which one is living”(Georgetown). This definition of health resonates with me greatly. Growing up I was never an overall healthy child, in fact, the complete opposite I was quite unhealthy and overweight for the majority of my youth. However once I became more health aware I continuously worked to improve my health. Even as I made great strides in my physical health I felt as though I were still not “healthy”.
Merriam-Webster defines health as the condition of being well or free from disease, the overall condition on someone’s body of mind, or the condition or state of something. Fitness is defined as the quality or state of being fit. I perceive the concepts of health and fitness as meaning eating healthy, being active and staying fit. My normal daily activities and routines help keep me active and fit and require me to eat healthy in order to have the energy to complete the physical tasks. This year I elected to enroll in the health and fitness project for the first time.
