George Herman Ruth Jr had many names, the most famous one of all was The Babe. His name was the gateway to the Roaring 20’s spark in baseball talent, thus now the most famous nickname in American sports history. Babe captures the uprise of the 20’s as baseball becomes a well-known sport and as the economy went into a downfall. The 1920’s also known as the Roaring Twenties or the Jazz age was a period in time were art and creativity came alive. Babe Ruth was known as one of the greatest American professional baseball player of all time and the twentieth century. Babe was only 19 years old when he was launched into his very successful baseball career.

Babe’s career in the Major League Baseball field was carried throughout 22 seasons from 1914-1935. He played for the Boston Red Sox from 1914-1919, The New York Yankees from 1920–1934 and Boston Braves from 1935 as a left-handed pitcher and an outfielder. Some of the longest standing records since the 1900’s has Babe Ruths name under it and according to MLB still stand till today. 19 Extra-Base Hits, 714 home runs in 22 seasons and 457 total basses all in 1921. Also a 0.847 Slugging Percentage in a single season in the 1920 and 170 base to balls in a single season in 1923. He set many records and awoken the game by hitting home runs at a rate that no one has ever experienced
