On July 15th, 2008, Caylee Marie Anthony, two-years-old, was reported missing by her maternal grandmother, Cynthia Anthony. On December 11th, 2008 a man named Roy Kronk found a plastic bag containing human remains in a wooded area near the Anthony’s home in Florida (1). The suspects in this case were Zenaida “Zanny” Fernandez Gonzalez and Casey Anthony. This case had a number of witnesses including Casey’s parents, friends, and family. Dr. Arpad Vass a forensic anthropologist, Dr. Tim Huntington a forensic entomologist, Dr. John Shultz a UCF anthropology professor, and chief medical examiner Dr. Jan Garvaglia and many others in the forensic science community were all critical witnesses during the trial (2).

On July 15, 2008, Cindy Anthony announced that her two-year old granddaughter Caylee, had not been seen for nearly a month. Also, she wanted her daughter Casey Anthony taken into custody for robbing a car and money. Casey lied many times to investigators and displayed no emotion about her daughters disappearance. On October 14, 2008, Casey Anthony was arraigned by a Florida grand jury on first degree murder, aggravated child abuse, aggravated manslaughter of a child, and four counts of providing false information to a law enforcement officer. Later, human remains were identified as Caylee's on December 11, 2008, in the woods approximately a quarter of a mile from the Anthony residence.
“I don’t know where she is, and thats the God honest truth.” - Casey Anthony. These are just some of the words Casey lied about to judge Belvin Perry face in the 2008 case. In July of 2008, Caylee Anthony was murdered by her mother. Casey was wrongly acquitted of her charges of First degree murder, Aggregative child abuse, and aggregative man slaughter.
Cindy Anthony contacted 911 and mentioned that she hasn't seen her two year old granddaughter for almost a month. She made that call on July 15, 2008 and also stated that she would like Casey Anthony charged with taking a vehicle and cash. Casey really found pleasure in lying to the cops and did not show any feelings about her daughter Caylee missing. The Florida grand jury accused Casey of false information to police four times, aggravated child neglect, homicide of a child, and first degree murder. These charges were on October 14, 2008.
Casey Anthony became a recognized name in 2008 when she failed to report her two year old daughter, Caylee Anthony, missing until a month after she vanished, and then continued to lie throughout the investigation. It wasn’t even Casey who reported Caylee missing. It was Caylee’s grandmother, Cindy. Casey Anthony was born March 19, 1986 in Warren, Ohio. Her parents are Cynthia (Cindy) and George Anthony and she only has one sibling, who is four years older, Lee Anthony.
Family Treatment Court of Rockland County is a court system that operates in a similar fashion to the more popularly known Drug Court. However, Family Treatment Court (FTC) operates with wider jurisdiction and greater power in comparison to Drug Court because of the type of parties (i.e. children and families) it handles. As a requirement, participants in FTC must fulfill both short and long term obligations and goals in order to graduate from the program and eventually be reunified with their children and families. Participants in FTC are obligated to not only appear in court and maintain sobriety, they must attend self help meetings and participate in an Substance Abuse Program along with other obligations the court may deem necessary to
Murder is the unlawful killing of one human being by another. Murder is the taking of an innocent one’s life. Casey Anthony is well known for her connection to the mysterious disappearance of her young daughter, Caylee. Murder is what many believe Casey Anthony committed to her own daughter. Casey Anthony’s verdict should have been guilty based on the facts that have been unfolded.
“That means she is lying!” One thing that me and Nancy Grace have in common is our surprise on the part of the judicial system. I believe they misunderstood the meaning of reasonable doubt and came to a wrong verdict. In midsummer 2008 a young Caylee Marie Anthony suddenly went “missing” her mother - Caylee Anthony - being the last person to interact with her. I think Casey Anthony is guilty due to her constantly changing story, access to possible supplies, and the lies unfit of a “frightened mother.”
Danielle Jackson Carlton - 5 English 11 1 March 2018 The Broken System we call Foster Care Yes foster care is an essential system used to provide loving homes to children, but unfortunately these systems have become broken and can no longer keep kids safe under their care. Everyday children are being placed in foster homes facing abuse, unloving parents, and even death. The system has only progressively gotten worse leaving behind children traumatized to a point where no amount of love or therapy can fix them.
Reporter stated the following: The child is not in DHS custody. We make medical and school decisions. I met the mom this summer at WIC. The mom and her three kids lived with us this summer. The mom then moved in with her boyfriend.
World War Two managed to completely change American society in numerous ways. One of the aspects transformed was US’s foreign policy. Before the war, US was an isolationist. They had neutrality acts to keep them from engaging in Europeans armed hostilities, refused to join the League of Nations and the world court, and were overall not involved in world affairs. After WW2, the United States frequently intervenes, never retreats, they also have military bases all around the world, they joined the League of Nations (which they stationed in NY), and were overall more active in foreign policy.
The first step in creating family reunification is forming case plan goals, objections, and court orders. Step 2, Progression of visits. As time passes and the child remain in foster care, visits between the child and birth parents will steadily increase in frequency and moderation. It's not uncommon for visits to move from supervised, weekly visits to monitored, weekly visits to unsupervised, weekly visits. Then they will progress from overnights and weekends to several days in a row.
Should Adoption or Abortion Be More Readily Available in America? The argument of abortion vs. adoption has been a lingering soft spot for many Americans. All throughout history, people have argued about whether or not abortion is ethical and should be legal. According to FindLaw, the court case Roe v. Wade ruled in a 7-2 vote and made abortion legal in 1973.
Literature Review Throughout the years, research has been conducted on the effects that foster care can have on children. In the United States alone, there are roughly 670,000 children who have spent time in the foster care system each year (“Foster Care,” 2017). Of those children, approximately 33% of them age out of foster care system. Studies then show that the foster care system has had varying effects on the children who are/have been a part of it. In many cases, studies have noted the effects of attachment for children in foster care.
