Service, Leadership, and Character have been a big part of my life. Living with a family that values hard work and dedication, I have taken my education seriously. Since I was young, I've wanted to get the best grades. Being involved in band and sports has helped me develop the necessary skills for success in school and work. Being in the band has given me opportunities to help and give back to others. During the marching band season, I have had many opportunities to step up and assist others. Working as a host for bands helped me learn how to communicate well and with kindness with students and directors from different schools. Working with people from different schools helped me branch out and gain more confidence when talking to others. Working as a runner during marching band and other band competitions helped me with my organizational skills by keeping the papers and voice recorders organized for the right judges. The community band is another way that I participate in the community. Being with more experienced musicians has helped me in my band career by listening to and learning from them. Since my sophomore year, I have been a section leader. As a section leader, my job is to take care of and be an example for the other students in the band. Being a section leader is an important role. Others look up to you for advice and guidance.
