After noticing the cycle of poverty in Bangladesh and watching his mom care for the poor, Dr. Muhammad Yunus decided to make a useful change. Yunus stated, “It was she, by her concern for the poor and the disadvantaged, who helped me discover my interest in economics and social reform” (Yunus, 2007, p.5). With Yunus seeing the effect that financial awareness has on a person, he knew providing financial services was the way to go. Viewing access to credit as a basic human right, the Grameen Bank gave the poor to have a chance to gain credit as an opportunity to help themselves. By the way of this system, Yunus believed that the poor will repay the borrowed money as well as develop some financial skills. Leaping out on a strength of faith, the success of his change proved that poor who were unemployed and living in poverty could receive consistent employment and a credit improvement. Yunus shown this to be truth this by saying, “And when I went to the villages I saw how many of our borrowers had not only crossed the poverty line but left it far behind” (Yunus, 2007, p.199). Wayne Grudem and Muhammad Yunus had the same foundation when it came to their concepts. Wayne Grudem’s concept, introduced in “Business for the Glory of God,” stands for business glorifying God but only when it is carried out in the way that God's mentality has.
