But, we do have restricted or banned books, Even in school, students are not allowed to read certain books because of content of the knowledge of the book. Henceforth, we ban books from the public to save information that they do not want us to know. But, we are somewhat different. We do not burn any books. We allow many children and many adults to read for their own interest and knowledge to grow, learn, etc.
Everyone is miserable in a dystopia but, everyone in a utopia is happy. In a dystopia the people are you usually abused by their government. In a utopia the people are usually treated fairly and nicely. Although, many people believe war defines utopia and peace defines utopia, in reality bad government actions define a dystopia and knowledge defines a utopia. You can see this in any type of literature.
Books are an essential way to gain knowledge whether they are controversial or not. Thousands of books have been banned from public libraries and schools due to being deemed ‘inappropriate’ by parents, administrators, or religious leaders. Whether Americans should ban books in public libraries and schools is an often debated topic. This censorship of books is dangerous, as it restricts the American people's’ ability to access information, leaving Americans ignorant. Historically, banning books is not a new practice.

Teachers have to curve their lesson plans around which books are deemed banned, inhibiting the way they are able to reach and engage with their students. Either way those are all to teach us something. When you ban and censor books inside those books are the fears you hold and that you don’t want to see. It is because of that reason why today there are so many social problems in our world. Not banning books wouldn’t solve all the social problems in the world but it would take us into the right direction. Keep people from the truth of banned books is the same as lying to them.
Censorship Censorship in schools may not be the best choice for enriching the future minds of the United States of America. Children of the United States of America should have the right to learn about anything for it is there amended right. Taking knowledge away from them and censoring it should not be the answer to keeping our Children pure it should be what we teach our kids. We need to teach them right and wrong that is what will keep our child’s mind pure. Many books are being taken off shelves every day in student libraries because a couple people do not think that the book is suitable for children.
Banned Books are books that are prohibited by law or to which free access is not permitted by other means. Banning books is against the writers right for freedom of speech, which is the first amendment. Students have the right to read, reading is not illegal, so why ban books? If a reader is mature enough to handle some curse words or bad behavior then they should be able to read banned books. Some people believe books should not be banned in schools/libraries but just because you do not like it does not mean it should be taken away, that is the authors freedom of speech.
First, there are many cons to banning books. “Parents may control what their own children read, but don't have a right to restrict what books are available to other people. ”(ProCon.org, 2) Parents do not have the right to take books away from everyone, but they do have the right to control what a child is reading. Parents are 42% of the reason that many books become challenged or banned.
If kids are not exposed to this material than they might not truly understand big pieces of history. If books were banned we would have less options to read and our education wouldn 't be as strong. In conclusion, books should not be banned. If books were banned then our education world lesson and our knowledge would be much slimmer.
There are countless reasons that everybody should know why books are being banned all over the world! One of the reasons is that parents do not want their children to be exposed to inappropriate topics. Moreover, some books discusses topics that people object to like dark arts and homosexuality. However, there are also reasons why books should not be banned. When children enjoy books, it improves their vocabulary, and it teaches them life lessons.
