The biggest gripe that anyone should have with this is just how generic it sounds. This mission statement does nothing to make this organization stand out from any other ones in the area. On top of this, there was no vision statement to be found. Even though it does mention is it a safety net hospital, there a good chance that the people they serve would not understand what this means, It is something that needs to be stated in plain terms.

INTRODUCTION In today’s health care community, the demand on elderly population have been viewed as a market phrase that requires a large impact in growth of American society. In 1950, 16.9 percent of the American population was over 55 years old. In 1986, 20.8 percent of the population was over 55 years old. The trend toward an older population will increase dramatically from the year 2000 to 2030.
My personal mission statement is to improve healthcare by improving communication between health professionals and patients. Especially with regard to younger populations, I feel that there is often miscommunication or a lack of communication in general. I believe that by improving communication with patients, the healing process will go smoother and easier. Personally, if I had a doctor who seemed cold and uncaring, I would be less likely to open up and tell him more about my condition. By making a patient better not just physically but emotionally too, I believe there will be less complications and mishaps.
