Do you know of a man who helped so many different people just in eight measly years? Barack Obama is a wonderful example. Barack Obama was the 44th president of the united states, and yet he was the first president of a different ethnicity other than Caucasian. He was born on August 4, 1961 and his mom was Ann Dunham, who was white, and his dad was Barack Obama Sr. (Senior) who was Kenyan. He was president throughout Jan 20th, 2009, to Jan 20th ,2017 whenever Donald Trump took office. Obama did many exceptional things such as, giving members of the LGBTQ community marriage rights, winning a Nobel peace prize, breaking racial boundaries, giving all American citizens affordable health care, and saving the U.S. Auto Industry. Obama was our nation's first African American president, and he was reelected after his first reign, so obviously he had a lot of supporters. Supporting the Gays, proving a black man can run our country, winning the Nobel prize for peace, helping poverty-stricken Americans have health care, and saving thousands of American jobs are all accomplishments of Barack Obama. Being partly Kenyan meant Obama was our first dark skinned president, but I doubt he is the last. He clearly presented that a dark-skinned man can run our country and keep the chaos low. Obama also fixed many people's racists attitudes, not all people could have gotten their rude other ethnicities hating behavior, but most Americans were ok with Obamas power over the country. As a dark skinned male and the president, Obama certainly got some crude comments on his decisions on how to keep America safe. Many people said he wasn't improving the country but ruining it with the stench of his ilk.
